SKILLZ MACHINE
Skillz Machine, made up of DJ Bust and Eb Kaito, have been reigning supreme on the Belgian turntablism scene since 2010, blending technical virtuosity with a love of groove. After a third-place finish at the IDA World Championship in 2012 and a runner-up title in 2020, the duo continue to push the boundaries of scratch and performance. With their explosive four-deck DJ sets, Skillz Machine fuse Hip Hop, Turntablism and Bass Music to ignite the dancefloor, seducing purists and thrill-seeking crowds alike.
Their team record is just as impressive: five IDA & DMC Belgian championship titles in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2019, and 2020, and acclaimed performances at world championships.
Skillz Machine has shared the stage with the likes of DJ Vadim, The Herbaliser, C2C, Guts and Araab Muzik, and continues to write its own history, turntables in hand.
DJ BUST
DJ Bust has been involved in deejaying for over 15 years, but his first steps in music - on bass guitar - date back to the early 90s. He bought his first turntables in 1995, and plunged into learning Scratch and beat juggling techniques, even experimenting with his first routines ...
He sharpens his skills by taking part in numerous battles on the net (especially on the Beat4Battle and Turntablism972 forums), all opportunities to exchange ideas with DJs from all over Europe. On the strength of these experiences, in 2010, 2011 and 2012 he took part in the IDA and DMC championships in Belgium, both as part of a team (Phonographx) and as a solo artist, winning several Belgian runner-up titles.
He records, scratches, composes and produces for numerous artists, including Craig G, El Da Sensei and A.G. (alongside DJ Koss), Aral & Sauzé, Kaer (Starflam) and Finger Dan.
EB-KAITO
Eb Kaito is undoubtedly one of the most solid representatives of the Belgian turntablist scene. His passion for bboying, his undeniable interest in vinyl and his attendance of the most famous club culture events in the Plat Pays have given him a unique flow on the turntables.
Ever since the drum machines of his teens, he's kept a curious eye on CAM (Computer-Aided Music), but it wasn't until the mid-2000s that he finally plunged into production. In addition to House tracks released under the pseudonym Grand Funk Device (in duet with Frank Drebin), two EPs signed Eb Kaito have already seen the light of day in 2013 (Dubstep and Trap Music), as well as several collaborations with English artist Owen The Saint. Today, there are countless Trap, Drum'n'Bass, Hip Hop and Dubstep tracks coming out of the boy's studio.
In 2017, Eb Kaito joined the team behind RTBF's Tarmac program.
