LA OLA CABRON IS FIRST AND FOREMOST THE ASSOCIATION OF TWO FIGURES ON THE LIEGE SCENE
ABEL & SONAR
They enliven these evenings with a mix of Latin music, from salsa to reggaeton, cumbia and Afro-Caribbean rhythms.
ABEL & SONAR
SONAR
Active since the late 80s, SONAR is a major figure in Belgian hip-hop. After making his debut in 1989, he joined the group H-POSSE (Starflam) in the 90s, before becoming DJ and producer of the group Bienvenu-N-Sonar, with whom he released the album En Bas En Bas.
Between 2002 and 2005, he worked internationally as DJ for the Cuban group Orishas, then continued his career with Belgian artists such as Pablo Andres, Akro, Nina Miscina, L'Hexaler and Dynamic.
Creative and entrepreneurial, he founded several concepts and structures that left their mark on the scene: Urban Cod&S, WAL'Style (and the Belgian chapter of End of the Weak), La Barbe Mobile, La Maison Mère, Escalators and RAW, a video series retracing the history of the pioneers of Belgian hip-hop.
On the airwaves (Pure FM, Tarmac - RTBF), on stage and in the clubs, he multiplies projects between mix, production, radio, video and cultural events, while remaining a committed player in the Hip-Hop movement in Belgium and internationally.
ABEL
Resident DJ at Pot au Lait for almost twenty years, former member of the Sun Is Shining sound system and the Albalianza collective.
Abel is passionate about Afro-Caribbean music, which he explores relentlessly.
From the feverish salsa of mythical Fania to frenetic Carioca funk, from sticky reggaeton to intoxicating, psychedelic cumbia, he crosses eras and borders with a single mission: to create a tropical microclimate conducive to unrestrained dancing.
